The American Public University System has a large and very active IAEM Student Chapter, now in its sixth year. There are more than 260 members and growing. The leadership is provided by the elected Chapter Executive.

The Chapter Advisor is Professor Allison Pope. The AMU/APU Chapter is the largest Student Chapter in the IAEM, and is the recipient of the 2009, 2010, and 2013 Chapter of the Year Awards, and also received the 2013 Advisor of the Year Award for Karen Cieslewicz, MD, CEM, MEMS, FAcEM.
