Joining the Emerging Professionals Caucus

Purpose Statement

The IAEM-USA Emerging Professionals Caucus (EPC) is a community dedicated to connecting and providing resources to students, young professionals, and individuals entering the field of emergency management.  

Through regular caucus meetings and events, we aim to provide additional opportunities for our members to share knowledge, gain experience, and connect with like-minded professionals across the IAEM-USA chapter, and across the globe!  

Some of our regular activities include:  

• Virtual monthly meetings (currently on the 4th Friday of each month at 12pm central time) 
• Virtual social hour events 
• EPC Talks virtual presentations 
• Annual IAEM Conference & EMEX in-person meetings 
• Many other opportunities! 

Caucus Membership 

Current members of our caucus include: 

• Current students interested in pursuing a career in emergency management 
• Young professionals in the beginning stages of their emergency management career 
• Professionals in other fields making the switch to emergency management as a second career 
• Seasoned professionals in the emergency management field interested in sharing their knowledge with emerging professionals
